On 9th November 2023, 19-year-old Germayne D. Fifer and 22-year-old Elijah A. Davis from Inkster, Michigan, along with 19-year-old Tyrese I. Heard from Ypsilanti, Michigan, were accused of Grand Larceny in the third degree and fifth-degree conspiracy. The charges originated from a store clerk’s complaint about a credit card scam incorporating over $5,000 in gift cards at the Speedway on West Main Street. The three individuals were detained, arraigned in Batavia City Court, and scheduled for their next court appearance on 20th November 2023.


In another incident on 4th November 2023, Rochester, NY resident Jimmy Ramirez, 41, was charged with felony DWI following a civilian complaint about a likely drunk driver. As a result, Ramirez was given multiple traffic citations and scheduled to appear in court on 15th November 2023.

Also, Edwin L. Bethel, a 57-year-old Rochester resident, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, endangering two child’s welfare, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and petit larceny. The charges stem from a disturbance on South Main Street on 11th November 2023 in which Bethel allegedly hurt another person, damaged property and stole the victim’s car keys in two children’s presence. A court hearing has been set for him on 7th December 2023.

Furthermore, Batavia resident Kate J. Long, 39, was charged with second-degree harassment for supposedly sending numerous unnecessary emails to the Batavia City School Board of Education without a legal reason. She is due in City Court on 12th May 2023.

Other individuals arrested on the police blotter include Stephanie L. Coley from Lockport, NY, Michael J. Torres, George J. Budzinack, and Benjamin G. Evans from Batavia, NY, Christine M. Caplis from Elba, NY, Timothy M. Pendleton from Batavia, NY, and Dorian D. Batchelor from Williamsville, NY among others.

Terrance L. Falk, a 25-year-old from Batavia, was arrested on a warrant on 6th November 2023. Falk had previously allegedly threatened someone with a knife on Washington Avenue. He was taken to the Genesee County Jail and is due in court again on 29th November 2023.

Adam J. Kaczanowski (age 22) from Eden was arrested on 17th November 2023 on a warrant. He had initially been charged with third-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle following a car accident on 26th September 2023 but did not show up in court. He has a court date set for 19th December 2023.

Krystal L. Frye (age 33) from Jamestown was arrested on a bench warrant on 20th November 2023. She had been charged with fourth-degree Grand Larceny in April 2019 after stealing a debit card but failed to appear in court. Her court date is yet to be set.

On 13th November 2023, Kenneth B. Jordan (age 31) from Albion was arrested under a warrant. He was initially charged with third-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle on 16th January 2023 however, missed his court appearance. His next court date is 29th November 2023.

Heidi S. Kollarik (age 51) from Oakfield was arrested on 9th November 2023 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. She was drunken driving on East Main Street. She is due in court on 21st November 2023.
